Our Impact & Partnerships
Over 65,000 people have used our resources to get the digital skills they need. We've distributed over 50,000 printed Gluu Guides—our 96-page digital skills magazine-style workbooks—and hosted live webinars for over 18,000 participants. Since 2019, we've proudly been part of the Government of Canada Digital Literacy Exchange Program. We've also served as the training and tech support team for HelpAge Canada’s Dig-IT program and received funding from organizations such as CIRA – Canadian Internet Registry Authority, the New Horizons for Seniors Program Canada, and the United Way British Columbia.
Our Collaborative Approach
250+ organizations across Canada use our resources to support their digital skills trainers. We equip them with comprehensive resources—step-by-step guides, online courses, and printed materials—so they can help community members confidently navigate the digital world safely.
Flexible Learning Options
Everyone learns differently, so we have created resources that support flexible learning options like group workshops, drop-in sessions, and virtual training. Gluu resources include:
Step-by-step online lessons

Quizzes, tips sheets, checklists, and more
About our Founder
Our founder, Linda Fawcus, brings 32 years of experience working in the technology sector. For the past 10 years, she’s been dedicated to helping older adults navigate the digital world safely and confidently. Recently, she created the How to Be Unscammable TV show on TELUS Optik TV. Funded by TELUS STORYHIVE, this 10-episode series helps older adults learn to stay ahead of cybercriminals. Now, this series is part of the Unscammable Course, a standalone digital security course from Gluu Society designed for iPhone, iPad, and Samsung devices. Keep an eye out for its launch on YouTube (@GluuYou) in April 2025. Updates will be available on our website and in our newsletter at blog.gluusociety.org.
